AI-generated image due for new package. Real image coming in May 2026.

An adventure with two or three nights in a luxury tent and three or four cycling days in the area of Mörbylånga on southern Öland. The first tent site is in a forest grove out on the famous Stora Alvaret. There you can get help setting up the tent and we show you how to cook with a gas stove. Beautiful and interesting tent sites also the next two nights.

This package is primarily suitable for parents with children aged 7 to 13 years old, so the distances between the campsites are quite short (12 - 22 km). Most of the equipment is included, and if there is something you are missing, you can buy it on site.

The following are included:

  • A rather luxurious 6-man tent for parties of 3-6 people. 3-man for 1-2 people
  • One sleeping mat per person
  • Water canister with a capacity of 10 litres
  • Gas stove for cooking
  • Pots, plates, cutlery, mugs, thermoses and coolers
  • Map showing the tent sites
  • 3-speed standard bicycles for adults
  • Children's bikes, both boys' and girls' models in 16, 20 and 24-inch sizes
  • Bicycle trolley
  • Cycle helmets for children under 15
  • Small first aid kit

You can bring the following with you or buy them at the rental centre:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Inflatable mattress
  • Freeze-dried food with different flavours
  • Cushions
  • Knife

Other food needed can be bought at ICA here in Mörbylånga.

Day by day

Day 1

In Mörbylånga
You will arrive at Mörbylånga on southern Öland where we have our bikes and tents right at the bus station. It is possible to get here by bus from Kalmar. For those who come by car there is free parking nearby. The bikes and bike trailer you booked are waiting for you and you will also get the equipment needed for camping.

On the way
When you have packed what you need to bring in the bike trailer and any panniers, you cycle off to the first campsite. It is located in a small forest out on the famous Stora Alvaret, just over 15 easily trampled kilometres from Mörbylånga. There you will be met by a person who will help you set up the tent and show you how to use the gas stove. We only offer this service for the first night, so you need to check carefully how this is done. Near the tent site there is a barbecue area with firewood and an outdoor toilet. An exciting night awaits.

Please note! We distribute larger tents than the one in the picture.

Day 2

You have plenty of time to fix breakfast, take down the tent and maybe take a walk out on the surrounding Alvaret. The next campsite near the water in Kalmarsund is just over 10 km away. On the way there you will pass Allégården in Kastlösa where you can take the opportunity to fill up on water.
This campsite also has firewood, a barbecue area and an outdoor toilet nearby. Here you can also take the opportunity to take a bath in Kalmarsund. And now you fix the tent and the gas stove yourself.

Day 3

If you booked only 2 tent and 3 bike days, you will now return to Mörbylånga. But you have the day (until 18.30) to use the bikes.

This day is the longest cycle, about 25 km. On the way to the new campsite you pass Mörbylånga and can then take the opportunity to fill up drinking water and shop in the well-stocked grocery store. After Mörbylånga you cycle north on a nice cycle path that takes you past Haga Park, which has a nice beach and is a centre for windsurfing. Further cycling past the bird paradise Beijershamn to the next campsite in Vickleby deciduous forest. Here, too, there is a barbecue area and an outdoor café. Interesting excursions nearby are the two bird towers in Beijershamn with the 2 km long pier, a real fiasco building in the 1860s. The Karlevi stone, one of Sweden's most famous rune stones, is about 3 km along the path to the north.

Day 4

Back to Mörbylånga.
From the campsite you cycle north and after just over 1 km the road splits. There you take the slightly larger road to the right that leads you to the paved cycle path between Färjestaden and Mörbylånga. You can drive directly there. A slightly longer (about 18 km) variant is to take the road to Vickleby to enjoy Öland's ”most beautiful village street” and visit the famous craft school Capellagården. Those who are used to cycling can then cycle on the main road with a nice view of the fertile Mörbylånga valley. From Resmo it is then a nice downhill down to Mörbylånga.
