Green around the world

In late summer 2025, German couple Anna and Yannick visited Öland. They have become known for sharing their way of travelling sustainably, and preferably with a lot of cycling. Their travel blog is called Green around the world and on Instagram they have a whopping 194 000 followers.

Anna and Yannick took the train from Germany to Kalmar, then the bus to Mörbylånga where they hired bikes from us and set off to discover our island. Along the way, they got to know Mörbylånga's cult café: Café Söderbönor, the gastronomic craftsmanship of Kalm Taste of Öland in Kastlösa, the deserted village of Penåsa on Alvaret and the birdlife of Möckelmossen. The tour then continued northwards to Borgholm.
